Dora Jean Garrison

Dora Jean Garrison, age 75 of Ferris, Texas passed away peacefully April 25, 2024 with her family and friends at her side. Born on March 5, 1949 in Dallas, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Jackie B. and Billie Earle (Wooten) Garrison of the Elm Grove community in Rowlett, Texas. Dora was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her kind and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her. Dora‘s presence in all of our lives will be deeply missed. Her memory will be cherished by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Billie Earle Garrison; two brothers: Marty Lynn Garrison and Jackie Howard Garrison.

Dora is survived by her daughter Lisa Renee and husband Jerry Dale Ward of Ferris, Texas; three grandchildren: Marty and wife Janie Westmoreland of Ennis, Texas, Arron and wife Tiffany Westmoreland of Ferris, Texas and Jackie Shanz Jr., and wife Aaliyah of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Carolyn and husband Wesley Ely of Rockwall, Texas; friend Darryl Hicks of Dallas, Texas; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2024 at TrueVine Missionary Baptist Church in Ferris, Texas.
